Boliger ved Bækken

Inspired by the existing site, the landscape elements shape the identity of the architecture and surrounding neighborhoods. To best integrate into the site, the housing elements are organized into eleven clusters, which are organized around six different landscape elements. The houses are embedded into the landscape creating the experience of living within nature.

Within each cluster, the voids between each house are shaped to form communal spaces. These spaces, paired with the individual gardens, create privacy while allowing the possibility to participate in communal activities.

THE SITE

A hidden creek meanders across the site and in-between the building plots. This creek naturally creates a diverse ecosystem. Various animal life, tree species and vegetation all become a part of the backyards of the new housing development. These natural variations create diverse spatial and recreational possibilities throughout the neighborhoods.
