Exhibition at Krabbesholm

jaja architects have been invited to participate in an exhibition in the "Four Boxes Gallery" at Krabbesholm Højskole in october 2013. Together with 4 other inspirering studios we will present nordic projects made from brick or wood. We will also be participating in the opening symposium, where we are to comment on the ongoing architectural development at the folk school.

Funding for Gl. Strand

Our transformation of the court yard at Gl. Strand in Copenhagen has been funded almost 420.000 DKK by GBHF. The court yard will serve as main entrance to the art society while the construction of the metro is ongoing.

The project is designed by jaja architects and mist + grassat in collaboration and will be ready for inauguration this summer!

New housing competition

Jaja architects and a team of Svela Bygg and Piri AS are currently competing about cheaper family housing in Kleivane outside Sandnes, Norway. The turnkey contract is a part of a large development of 550 housing units in all. We are designing a small settlement of 10 single family houses. Deadline is in the beginning of May.

Moving to the next phase in Holbæk

jaja architects and a team of ONV Arkitekter, Bascon and Scandi Byg have prequalified for the competition AlmenBolig+ . Together we are going to develop a new generation of inexpensive social family housing made from industrial production.

The new year promises a new activity landscape! We are excited to announce that we have been commissioned to built a new type of sports hall in Harboøre on the west coast of Denmark. Program for Masterplan, done!

ÅNDALSNES WATERFRONT

We have received the commission for further development of our winning proposal for Åndalsnes city centre. The project includes a waterfront boardwalk, harbor bath and study for a new swimming hall. Emerging architects

jaja is one of the "10 Emerging Scandinavian Architects" exhibited at the Architecture Fair, Arkitekturmässan, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

It is a two day fair and congress about future architecture and city environments. It will take place in Gothenberg from 24th to 25th of October.
