Ålesund moving forward

JAJA has been commissioned for the new master plan of Ålesund's southfacing waterfront based on our winning proposal. The master plan is developed in close collaboration with Ålesund's Municipality and is expected to be completed in summer 2013.

ÅNDALSNES WATERFRONT

We have received the commission for further development of our winning proposal for Åndalsnes city centre. The project includes a waterfront boardwalk, harbor bath and study for a new swimming hall. JAJA is looking forward to a close collaboration with Rauma Municipality, investors, and local citizens.

RECYCLING SQUARE IN THE NEWS

Our study for the new Herman Bangs Square is published in the local media.

The project "Recycling Square" is supported by Copenhagen Municipality and includes three proposals that combine a recycling station with a vibrant urban space. They aim to make it easier for local citizens to get rid of their waste in an eco-friendly way, while also creating a new meeting space for the neighbourhood.

jaja is one of the "10 Emerging Scandinavian Architects" exhibited at the Architecture Fair, Arkitekturmässan, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

It is a two day fair and congress about future architecture and city environments. It will take place in Gothenberg from 24th to 25th of October.

Watchmans Hut in Norwegian News

Watchmans Hut is one step closer to becoming reality. In 2006 we were approached by artists Anne and Lars Traegde to design an artist studio in pristine nature. Recently the project received a grant and permission to build it on an island in Nøtterøy Kommune.

The long-term ambition is to create several huts in different locations and bring artists from all over the world closer to nature.

The jury of the competition for the Norwegian National Museum announced their three winning projects. Our proposal - The Urban Transition - came in second. And is one amongst 237 proposals from 40 different countries that has been invited into further negotiations and development. The final result will be unveiled in august.
